Since it’s his Birthday (in Heaven) I thought of this experience all day, and wanted to share - This Fourth of July 2023 when I performed at Cowboy Poetry and Music Program in Taylor AZ, as I was warming up in the back area with Ashley Westcott, a little boy that I have never seen before sat on the park bench and watched all through my entire warm-up song, and afterword's very genuinely said to me, “Excuse me Ma’am that was really good”. I thought it was just the cutest thing that this young boy would say such a thing to a 55 year old woman that he had never met. Then, the miracle happened, a few minutes after I warmed up and wandered away looking at my phone, I felt a little tap on my back and as I turned around the little boy reached his hand out to me, a coin purse in his left and a dime in his right hand- “Here this is for you ma’am”, he said. I was perplexed, knowing instantly that my father was present in spirit to watch me perform my songs, and I welled up in tears. Then very graciously said, thank you very much you have no idea how special this dime is to me young man, and he quickly replied, “Well, then you should keep it forever”. I said, believe you me, I will. I really don’t know a thing about this little guy other than he is such a cute cowboy, he listens to the spirit, and his name is Colton. God Bless you Colton for being the delivery vessel for my “Dime from Dad” before my performance. #music #awrecording #lovedones About the Singer- Xannady Reidhead is Edwin Weiss's Granddaughter. She comes from a family of 11 kids and is the second oldest. For as long as she can remember she has loved to sing. From the age of 2 she would sing while her Grandma would play the piano. Back in February she had been hospitalized for what is called VCD (vocal cord dysfunction). She had gone to many appointments although the first one she was told she may never be able to sing again. She remembers looking at her dad and seeing him start to cry as she was crying because he knew how much singing meant to her and her family. She had to sit out on a half a year of choir, during this time they were prepping for a production of the Addams Family. 2 weeks before the production’s opening night, she was told she could participate. While doing her performance as she was singing she felt a pop and her throat started to burn. After she was done she ran to the back and started to drink water and cry because all she could think was that she was done. However, here she is today doing this competition. It’s nerve racking for her and it’s different from anything she’s ever done and it’s a challenge for her. However she is doing it to have fun and to do what she loves most, to sing!
